The service involves calculating the synchronization code for the Renault/Dacia immobilizer system that communicates via the CAN bus.
Calculations can be performed for all ECU controllers MD1CS006, EMS3160, SID321, EMS3140, EMS3161, EMS3141 and others that use the first-generation CAN immobilizer system, which was implemented until around 2020/2021.
While the calculation is available for all ECUs, it is particularly crucial for those using the HSM (Hardware Security Module) for data transfer and decryption. This is because reading the ECU’s contents does not reveal the ISK values in the EEPROM and flash areas.
One method for gathering the necessary data is shown in the image. Ecuserwis has developed a specialized logger for data collection that is compatible with the widely-used Tactrix Openport 2.0 interface.
To gather the data, connect the ECU on the bench according to the wiring diagrams specific to the vehicle it originated from.
Next, connect the Openport interface to a power source and link the CAN lines from pins 6 and 14 on the interface to the CAN data line of the engine controller you’re working with.
Once everything is connected, click the START LOGGING button in the logger program. The data is collected by cycling the ECU’s power on and off, with the number of cycles set to 9.
After enough data has been collected, the program will display it and notify you that the logging process is complete.
The calculation relies on the CAN query metadata gathered from the ECU from which you want to retrieve the ISK synchronization code.

Upon receiving the log from your ECU, we will send you the correct ISK code within 12-24 hours. Once you obtain the ISK synchronization code, you can also use the UNICAN emulator to unlock the ECU.
Important information: In order to use this solution, the customer must be qualified as an automotive electronics technician and have the necessary diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams. In the event of problems and the need for technical support, a CAN bus analyzer will be required in addition to the ECU files, as well as the ability to operate it.
